Sarcophagus
by Kaia Aardal and Jone Aarenskiold
The scenario is run on BlackBox Cph in celebration of The Larp Factory Book Project (http://larpfactorybookproject.blogspot.dk) and it is produced and adapted to BlackBox Cph III by Ida Tjell and Marie Holm-Andersen.
An autumn Tuesday in November 2013 - just an ordinary day. At 11.27am the first breaking news: Violent explosions have hit London and Bruxelles. Some networks claim they are nuclear blasts. At 11.47am the news; Washington and Berlin have been hit.
A few minutes later sirens are heard over Copenhagen. After five minutes the city is hit by a devastating explosion.
Below the city in a bunker a group of people are huddling together. They were the ones that took the sirens seriously and ran for shelter. Now they are trapped with no way out. There is no life to return to. The bunker will become their sarcophagus.
Setting: The scenario takes place in present time in a bunker where a group of people have sought shelter during a nuclear strike.
Genre: Immersionism and realism. Sarcophagus is a scenario that deals with acceptance of death.
Player type: The scenario is for players that want to play a serene and densely melancholic game with focus on the characters' development towards acceptance of a hopeless situation.
Game elements: The script in the scenario is built from a psychological model about stages in crisis reaction. The progression of the game is partly controlled by the game masters. The game will be run in Danish/Nordic language.
Stage: Planeten
Time slot: Saturday 10am to 4pm
Number of players: 15
