What experience will you get at BlackBox?
The experience you will have at BlackBox Cph is an experience of role play at its core, all redundancy has been removed. As a player you only have to relate to the inputs you receive from your fellow players and the author of the larp, and then just give it all you got.
For BlackBox Cph we have invited some creative role players to write a larp each. We have set the conditions and given some instructions: About the length of the game, the number of players, and the use of theatrical lighting and sound. The rest is fully up to their inspiration and creativity.
Right before the larp you and the author will have a scheduled 2 hour workshop. Here the author will explain about the larp, do workshop exercises, hand out written material, or whatever the author has decided to do.
The only thing expected of you is that you show up and participate in this workshop.
After that you will proceed to the black box theater and 3 hours of intense role play.
At the end there will an evaluation of the larp, where players and authors can discuss how the game went and what could have been done differently.
All in all the larp will consist of 2 hours of workshop, 3 hours of role play, and about 1 hour of evaluation. After that there will be beer and relaxing in the café.
